This stunning Sprint Run expression of the Meerkat revives this clever design and makes it even more distinctive with a blade crafted from Carpenter Technology's Micro-Melt PD#1. This air-hardening, cold-work die steel is specially formulated to offer both superior wear resistance and toughness. Its properties are further enhanced by the CarTech Micro-Melt powder metal process, which ensures an extremely fine, homogenous microstructure. The full-flat-ground PlainEdge blade of this elite knife is cloaked in a non-reflective titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating and its fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle scales are injection molded in a deep burgundy color. True to this dramatic black-and-burgundy theme, the knife's reversible, tip- down, deep-pocket wire clip, full stainless steel liners, and handle hardware also sport durable black coatings.
